The website was started by Mr. Ho Kwong-Sing, owner of Wah Tung China Limited.  In the 70's, Mr. Ho used ceramic material and adopted techniques from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan to produce vast quantities of ceramics in Hong Kong for export worldwide. This in a way made up the supply shortage from China caused by the Cultural Revolution. After retiring, Mr. Ho devotes his full effort to promoting traditional Chinese cultural arts - Guanyin Art World's website is being part of his overall plan.

1. The various works of art put on this website primarily belong to various private collectors in Hong Kong and overseas.

2. Though being Buddhist in nature, these works of art carry no specific religious connotation but are intended to give people a better appreciation of the true meaning behind the precepts - to discern with disillusion, to let go, to be at peace.

3. The number of art works to be included in this website will increase in time.

4. Chronological date of the art pieces are recommended by the 'Research Committee of the Guanyin Art World and are intended for reference only.
