Subtle and diverse, Buddhist art in China enjoys a long history. The rise and fall of dynasties in China in the last few hundred years resulted in the dispersal of countless number of works of art. Among these are many rare and valuable pieces. Fortunately, in recent years, many caring Chinese art collectors, both in Hong Kong and overseas, have bought back some of those pieces and offer to exhibit them to the public. Hopefully, this kind of magnanimous spirit of promoting and exhibiting these elegant Chinese Buddhist art pieces can be carried on for the benefit of all people.

The purpose of setting up this website is to fulfill the wish of my mother Madam Kam Lam-Lai which is to share the elegant Chinese Buddhist art with as many people as possible. Through appreciating these pieces, people will hopefully realize some sort of enlightenment towards the true meaning of the precepts:

  • discern with disillusion

  • let go

  • be at peace
